<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">B18B
This is the motor in the non Type-R and non GSR Integra.

Pros
Good torque for a 1.8L (127 ft/lbs)
Inexpensive (even cheaper than a B16)
142 hp (more than any stock D series)
Boost heads love them

Cons
No VTEC
Longest B series transmission

B18C1 (or JDM B18C)
These come out of an Integra GSR.

Pros
Good Hp and TQ numbers (170, 121 ft/lbs respectively)
DOHC VTEC
Tons of potential
High revving

Cons
Expensive
Becoming moreso as people keep scooping them up
Slighty longer tranny than the ITR and B16

</TD></TR></TABLE>
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=878010

id go with the GSR personally, but if you wanna build a N/A Motor, go with LS

WRONG

LS for boost all the way. It's the most cost effective boost platform

GSR would be even better for boost, but is a better NA platform

you're not gonna be beating many v8's on the freeways with just a b-swap. if it were me, I would do LS boost. It was fun while it lasted.

I would go with the b18c1. It would be better in the long run.

there has been all these responses and recommendations... yet no-one has asked him what his goals are. (and beating v8's doesn't count).

What are your goals? and what will be the primary purpose of the car.

LS does not have that much more torque than the GSR...it's not like going from B16 to GSR...

just get a b18C1 n call it a day. boost it with a full-race kit get it tuned by someone that knows how n u can get 11s n 12s on a stock motor. wont last long but should do some block work to keep the longevity up a lil bit. but yeah.... if its a honda n doesnt have vtec its no good... its already provent vtec hondas run the fastest times in whatever type of racing u want to put them in *vtec vs non vtec* &lt;---flame protection
