B18b from 00' Teg into 96 sol with d16y7?
Ok before I get blasted for not searching I did, on other forums. And frankly I am tired of reading bs posted by immature kids. I want real answers from experienced people. That is why I am here. I am not by any means a honda guy. I drive bmw's I work on bmw's I love bmw's. That however is not important, besides the fact that it should show that I have technical knowledge. What is important is that my gf's daily is a honda. A 96 del sol s model to be precise. And the motor is lacking one of the things needed to make it run efficiently, compression, on two of the cylinders. She found a 90k b18b engine and trans for a couple hundred bucks so i am going to swap it for her. I need to know exactly what I will need as far as stock parts, after market parts, and so on to make this swap happen quickly and smoothly seeing as I will only have a weekend to do it from teardown to jacks down. I will be keeping the a/c seeing as she is a girl and cant roll the windows down for fear of messing up her hair.
I am assuming this swap is fairly straightforward seeing as both motors are obd2 and both are non-vtec but I am also sure there are some major differences in the motors as well. Like I said I searched a few other forums and wanted to shoot myself over the incompetence i found.
I know I will need a different shift linkage set up as well as a bracket for the ac comp. What about the ecu? Any thing on the b18 need to be changed to work in the sol? ie injectors sensors and the like. Like I said I am not a honda guy, but i am very good at wrenching and am not a mental pygmy when it comes to electrical either so this shouldnt be hard for me. I just need to know what else is needed besides the motor and trans. Thanks in advance for any help.

'96 - '99 Integra RS/LS/GS ECU. The '00 - '01 ECUs wont plug in without a conversion harness and have an immobilizer that renders them useless outside the original car anyway.
You'll need to rewire the IACV from a 3 wire to 2 wire as well. and extend the O2 sensor wiring. And you'll need to convert from a 3 wire to 2 wire CKF plug.

you sir are awesome. Thank you. Is there anything else you can think of? Hoses? Mounts? Anything.... This is the first time doing any swap in a honda. And ive noticed they have a lot more interchangeability between them so im hoping to get as much from both vehicles to make this work. Again, thank you

Mounts:
If you want keep A/C get an A/C mount from a '94 - '97 Del Sol VTEC or a '97 - '01 CR-V this will allow you to simply reuse the original compressor. Also you do not need to disconnect the A/C hoses from the compressor, simply unbolt it from the engine and swing it up out of the way, same goes for the P/S. Also you'll need upper and lower P/S brackets from a '94 - '97 Integra IIRC. If you want to take a pic of the P/S pump you have now I can tell you for sure.

also assuming the b series shift linkage is too short, do i simply cut a section of the sol's linkage and weld it into the b series linkage? Or can i cut the trans end of the b series linkage and weld it onto the sol linkage

Cut a piece out of the Integra linkage and add in a piece of the same sized tubing. Although by the time you sell the integra linkage you could almost buy the right linkage.
