How do 2 shops not know what there doing? Just convert to OBD1 and run the hasport kit. Its not brain surgery.

What HAsport does is you send them an obd1 wiring harness and the integra harness and they turn that into your harness. Honestly just change the dist, injectors (use his D series injectors) and change out the alt. and then run a obd1 ecu and his D series harness and his set.

Hey Luser, do you need to change the alternator? I'm just waiting for a few more parts to come in before doing this swap, but I thought I could just keep the obd0 alt... Aren't the plugs from 0 to 1 the same?

I've been reading up on swaps, and they seem pretty striaght forward, the only thing I'm lacking is the tools.

Thats what Hasport does. You send them your civic OBD1 harness and your OBD0 one and theyll convert it. Honestly if you know wiring or somewhat what your doing its not worth it. I think the price was something like 300-400 dollars. We were going to do it for a H22 accord. but different OBD's

I dont think you can, isnt the OBD0 like a 4 wire while obd1 is 5 wire? But yes they do share the same plug. I dont have an OBD0 harness on hand so if one of you guys do can you let me know and take pics of the plug. Because that would be great info if you can from what i know you cant.

I'm sort of doing the same swap. It's a 95 ls motor that had originally been swapped into a DA. I bought the DA for dirt cheap cuz the frame is too rusted to pass inspection (the owner didn't even know it wasn't the original engine; i didn't tell him). The only problem is that all of the obd1 stuff was ditched and the obd0 stuff was reused, so I still have to replace all of the same parts you do. Wierd situation, I know. The only things I'm unsure on still is the wiring harness stuff and the alternator...

This guy's just butthurt over what happened in a previous thread. He doesn't really know what he's talking about anyway. His daddy just works at some junkyard or something and does the work for him. Sorry B18CR, I was under the assumption that a honda technical site would be a good place to find information on hondas. Thanks for the info though. And thanks for the compliment. Seeing how the average IQ is 100, 140 is considered a genious. BTW, I do have a B18B1. Don't worry, you'll get the reading thing eventually. Don't give up sport!!

Just thought I'd let you know that the alternators ARE interchangeable. All that's needed is to put an obd1 plug on the obd0 alt. Nice try though. My daddy doesn't give me free engines and put them in for me asswipe.

BTW, everyone knows the chassis codes. They are called EGs and EKs for ease of speach. Big you even made a thread about it, and everyone told you you're a moron, didn't they? GTFO.

Throttle cable ...can't remember but I belive we used the stock civic throttle cable. I don't see much of it changing but it's possible we put in the 90-93 integra throttle cable but I can't remember us doing so.

Try the civic one...if that doesn't work or it's too short/long get the integra one

Yeah, I have both so I imagine between the two I'll get it to work.

Yea sorry about that but I never documented what we used and I honestly can't remember swtiching cables so I think the civic is still using the civic throttle cable

....as well as rear bracket, driver's side bracket, driver's side mount, shift linkage, and a cable-hydro conversion kit. You can save some money by modifying the alternator to work.
