It has a ys1 tranny which is a cable tranny.

Your car is setup for a hydrolic transmission. So you'd have to convert to cable. Which would be a pain and likely not worth it unless you were running a cable k swap.

yeah...go find a hydro tranny....shouldnt be too hard to find one. i go to car-parts.com and seach in my state and i NAGGED just about every junker until i found one and got a decent price. I got a complete 98 LS b18b swap minus ECU for $935 shipped!!! Got it from an upstate yard in Easley, SC. Can't beat that.

Also that motor is only pushing like 130 horses.

A y8 will net you that.

It's not a commonly swapped motor due to it's lack of power, cable tranny, and age.

The newest b18a1's are almost 15 years old.

My question is why the b18a1?

The b1 would be a much better platform to work with. Stronger crank and rods.
