b18a oil problems HELP!! SEARCHED
ok i got a 93 b18a in my civic hatch and the today i started it and it was making a whining noise i thought it was probably a loose belt so i drove to the gas station half way there when in gear my rpms wont go past 2300 it would backfire alot but in neutral i could rev,it wasnt doing it every time. Then i went and put gas and on the way home it started doing it in every gear. As im gettin to my parking lot the engine just shuts off and wont start. i park and and i couple of hours later i try to start it and it does then the oil light comes on and it keeps making the whining noise. I been searching and i cant find a good answer, i gathered from my searches that my oil pump is prolly gone and the bearings too. My question is can anybody confirm this, this happen to anybody else? should i start looking for a new motor or block? thanks in advance
