it's going to be a bigger opening than your stock IM....you'll have to do a little porting. I put a 60mm off of a mustang on my brother's ranger. we went from 50-60. Just bolt the TB on, open the butterfly and trace the bore size with a permanent marker....then unbolt it, by some good grinding bits, stuff a rag in the IM and go to town.

BTW we found that using a drill with some torque on it worked better than using a dremel

why not just port it now? Its not going to benefit you at all without porting. It will feel the same as the z6 tb.

NEW PROBLEM

I kno the pics and #'s are hard to see but work with me.

D16 one has an extra plug that the B18 one doesnt (White thing)

B18 has 2 extra small hoses comming off of it, d16 doesnt (vaccuum lines)

Help

the coolant hoses on the bottom are unimportant....just bypass it (hook the two ends together with a connector and some small pipe clamps). the electronic plugs should be the same.

just test fit it on, plug everything up that you can and take it for a spin...see if it throws any codes.

i'm guessing the other stuff is vaccum lines...should be plug and play...you're thinking about this too much

haha my z6 tb doesnt have a place for vaccum lines, so im guessing i'll just not hook them up..

One electrical plug fits, but on the B18 one, there is only ONE plug... on z6 there is TWO plugs.... but ya sound good

gotta wait till morning to get a gasket DAMMIT

Yeah everything will work just fine.... the idle will be high at first because of the coolant lines. Just use your gasket you have there for now.. It'll work just fine if you tighten it evenly. And you won't throw any codes if the sensors are good.... And that's a jdm throttle body good luck

Problem is you are trying to fit a OBD0 TB from a B18A or 1g B16A.

The "extra" plug on the Z6 TB is map sensor, which in OBD0 is not part of TB.

To solve that, either find an OBD0 external map sensor, or find an OBD1 TB.

yea man now that you posted pics of that thing i can tell its not gonna work too easily. You are definantely gonna need to get a map sensor on there somehow. I forgot that obd0 didn't have them.

heres a thought, take 10 minutes to put the z6 TB back on, then order a new gasket, and an external map and then do it when you have all the parts.

to make it work take the map sensor off the z6. now on the b18, run a vacum line from the first "extra hoses" and plug it into the bottom of the map sensor(off the z6) You bolt it some were or leave it hang it works either way. You can take the 2nd "extra hose hole" off. its the dash pot you dont need it.

I did it, but it didnt work. What extra hose hole was i supposed to take off. The 1st extra hose is broke, so i blocked that off, and hooked up the one on the right to my map sensor on the z6. Still doesnt work
