B18 swapped hatch bent valves???
Hey guys,
I finally got my b18 swapped into my eg hatch and it was running great the only thing I had left to do was run the wires for vtec. So I ran the wires for vtec and drove the car and vtec wasn't engaging, so i went back to my house and hooked up my power fc and to see if the ecu was sending a signal to the solenoid. I told my friend to rev it about really quick to about 5000 rpms so I could see if vtec was engaging and he did , no vtec so I told him do it once more he revd the engine to about 4500 and then the egine just died like it wasn't getting any spark ( I though he turned the key off but he didn't) So we tried to start it and it made the high spinning starter sound like when your timing belt has snapped and it spins quick, So i open the hood waiting to see a broken timing belt but the belt was fine.
We then though maybe the starter is just f'd up so we push started the car and it ran but really bad If I let off the gas it would die out I could also hear a rush of air blowing by like a sparkplug wasn't in (pff, pff, pff, pff).
I thought that the timing belt may have jumped and the valves were bent so i took off the valve cover and shined a flash light down the cyliners and there was no light coming out from the valves on any cylinder. I did a compression test and it came up with 0 psi on every cyliner but that cant be right. When I try to start it, it just sounds like its spinnging quickly like the timing belt isnt on.
sorry about the rant but I have no idea what is wrong.
Thanks

Re: (OrangeCiviC251)
I was checking at a stand still to see if the ecu was sending a signal, but you are correct I should have been driving anyway.
Anyone know what can be going on - I have no work friday and saturday so I will be able to tear into it, but I just dont understand.

Re: (HondaInteg95)
Check to see if the valvetrane is moving. Just because the t-belt is not broke doesn't mean that some teeth have been ripped off. Also, that sound you hear when you try to start it is the infamous no compression sound. The compression test results most likely are correct.

Re: (B20 EJ6)
Well the timing belt is perfect its a toda timing belt I had it off and checked the crank and cams to make sure that the timing wasnt off and thats why it wasnt starting.
B20EJ6 - are talking about the fast spinning starter sound or the blow by sound?
What do you think could have happend
