b18 intake

Default b18 intake

where can i find an aem short ram for a ype-r b18? is it the same one or the gsr?

You should kill yourself if you cant find an AEM intake for any honda. Theyre not the same as a gsr intake.

i can find them for everything but the type-r. i've looked on every mailorder and website.

GSR and ITR manifolds have altered positions for the throttlebody. Being that a GSR's manifold is inverted for the IAB's, most manufacturers make a bend at its end to accomodate the lowered position, so i would stick with an intake made for the ITR.

oh ya. and i want a short ram. pretty sure aem doesn't make that because i just was on their site and they only have cold air for the type-r.

thanks mike. who makes a short ram for that engine. a cold air isn't gonna work for where i live. too many shitty gravel street and decent amount of rain so i would just suck up way too much junk.

thats right. throttle bodies on the type r manifolds sit up higher than they do on stock gsr manifolds. but if you're going with a short ram, it wouldn't really matter. you would just have to angle it up or down depending on what the intake looks like

Theres always a Bypass valve that AEM makes, they work pretty well.
But if its a shortram you really want, try this site:
