B18 to B16 Swappable parts...?
Definitely have searched a bit on this topic, and I'm unable to find any useful info.
There's a pretty smashed up GSR in a yard very close by my garage.Yet, when you pop the hood, the angels sing...HAHA. Looks like a very, VERY, usable b18 swap. Dude just picked it up and nobody has been able to touch it yet. Bummer as I've decided to do a B16 swap and my motor (b16) just got bored .020 over, JE, pistons, Eagle rods, ARP studs, and head refurbished as well. (Goin Turbo).
My question is what may be usable from this GSR, other than axels and cams? I really only have the block and head for my swap... No trans, ecu, linkage, pumps, pulleys, lines, alternator, starter, etc... Should I get to work on pulling it apart? THANKS!

Re: B18 to B16 Swappable parts...?
The only things that won't bolt up to your B16 is the intake manifold and the obvious internals. The only thing that would be useful on the block may be the oil pump if it's a 96+ model and your b16 is a 95 or earlier, but that would retarded since new oem pumps are all of $125. You'd only want the GSR head/intake if you want some extra mid-range, and the cams if you want 5 more HP.
Honestly your best bet is to "flip" the motor and use all the GSR swap parts - linkages, etc. Built b16 > tired B18C1. The P72 can be used and knock board disabled if needed (via chip/ems).
