Default B17 into 95 cx

Well heres the deal, this fagot crashed into my bros 92 gsr, so now i have his motor. I've been looking for a hydraulic tranny but they cost a too much so i figure i'm just going to run the cable transmission. I'll run the cable from the tranny to my clutch pedal. I just want to know if this is reliabe instead of buying the cable to hydraulic kit?

umm, you may just want to buy the conversion kit. First of all, it will be a pain in the *** routing that cable like honda wanted it to be done, not to mention the reliability of your rig after it is all said and done. And another thing that hydro-cable conversion is very very nice on the left leg especially if you have an aftermarket clutch.

Good choice in keeping the tranny. The usdm YS1 that came in the GSR had the best ratios other than the Type-R. Even better than the hydro YS1's in the new Si's.

I would do the Hydro to Cable kit just to save some trouble plus you know it works.

So has anyone ever ran the cable to their clutch or do most people just get the kit?

Ive seen it done on a 93dx hatch but it looked kinda like ****. Plus the cables can stretch and stuff, IMO get a converter

I have seen a cable ran like you're talking about and it was pretty shitty.

I thought to myself:

"Now if this guy ever tries to sell this car that will be some messed up **** that I'd never want to own..." because it is simply "rigged."

The cable-hydro convertor is neato, but IMO I'd rather have the hydro tranny instead. The conversion doesn't feel as positive as the real hydro tranny, plus you'll be missing one of your front anti-roll mounts because the kit sits there and the cable tranny has no mounting point for the mount.

Why not sell the YS1 for a premium since it's the most desirable cable tranny?

Then just add a few hundred dollars and get a hydro B16A or ITR tranny.

True, a 92-93 GSR YS1 would go for a pretty penny out there!
