Default B16b upgrades

I've been torn on what to do to my Ctr swapped del sol. I hear turbo but not to cause the b16b's are appearently NA beasts. im not looking for mad power anything between 200hp - 300 with decent reliability.
ideas would be great

why would you want to turbo a b16b? although a b18c from the itr is usually everyones' first choice, the b16b from the ctr is still a gem imo, and should be left n/a. if you want turbo, go get a gsr swap. upgrade your valvetrain/do some headwork, intake/header/exhaust and leave it alone. with bolt ons and a great tune you should be near 200 hp anyways with a b16b

Other than cost, I see no downside. It has a good head, great cams, and decent off-boost power...with the right turbo setup, it would be a street monster. Ultimately, it comes down to budget and goals.

I don't understand why people come on here asking what to do with there motors? You're suppose to come on here to ask about technical issues not what to do with your car. Or start a build.

It's a NA 1.6L 185hp engine (about 155-160WHP). I'm guessing that fact is lost on the OP. It's reaching close to its NA limit for a STREETABLE motor as it is.

200-225 NA WHP will make this engine just about the shittiest street engine ever. 300WHP is not possible for a street driven B16B.

If you want power, you're going to have to turbo it. You bought the wrong motor. Not that you can't turbo the B16B....but a GSR swap would have been cheaper/better.

What made you decide on those power figures, OP?

Have you dyno'd your car to see how much power youre even making now? Mine is 170wph on a good day. Youre gonna need a good tuner to tune that engine turbo'd, it is relatively high compression already (compared to standard b-series).
