Re: b16b swap (vtec305)
I think all you need to do is put on an OBD-1 distributor, OBD-1 injectors, and get an OBD-1 ECU. I put an OBD-2 B20 in my 94 hatch, and to use that OBD-2 motor, all I did was got an OBD-1 distributor, injectors, and an ECU. Everything bolted up and plugged in. Anyone else got anything to add? Im not sure if this works the same way with a B16.

if you get an OBD2 gsr or type r harness or an LS harness and add wires to, it will plug right into the eg at the shock towers then you can use all the obd2 componets(ie injectors and dizzy), then just get a chipped P28 with civic typer base map or get a CTR ecu and a jumper harness

I always use the stock engine harness and attatch to it. injector clips ect... is your eg an si model? if it is it should be prewired for vtec and knock no? should be easy peazy to hook it up. wire in the obd2 injector clips and try using your stock dizzy

Yeah, but the knock's useless as **** on a bull - if you plan on running a chipped OBD-I ECU or an OBD-I CTR ECU - run it on a conversion harness and worry none about the knock sensor hookup.

Thats exactily what I did, just keep in mind that Type R Injectors are different from non Type R (RS, LS, GS, GS-R all the same)

keep everything OBDII from the engine bay, its the same exact thing as OBDI with additional plugs(the plugs themselves are different as well). just plug in your OBDI ECU of choice and voila....
I'm running a OBDII harness from the shock tower foward with a OBDI ECU.

The alternator plug is different from OBD-I to OBD-II?
