b16b into 200 civic dx harness questions

Default b16b into 200 civic dx harness questions

alright what harness should i use the stock harness for the z6 or shouldi use the jdm b16b harness. last night we tried using the b16b harness but the motor didnt fire up. so right now were putting in the z6 harness and what else will we have to wire other than vtec knock sensor and pressure switch

it's going to be just like wiring in a b16a2 into a 2000 dx.

alright, so the stock harness will work? i just need switch out the distributer cables from the jdm harness to the y7 harness and then wire all the misc stuff

for the most part I would think so. Unless your b16b is obd2a.

most things should wire straight up with that harness you'll probably have to wire in vtec and maybe a knock sensor.

I don't know all the minute details off the top of my head about wiring schematics for EKs but this should point you in the right direction, someone else will prob chime in and be able to give you a more accurate and definite answer though

alright thanks bense, were working on putting the stock harnes in but ill keep asking questions

alright about the distributer part the actual distributer plug has 9 wires and the harness has 8 wires.. were gonna swap out the pluyg from the b16b harness cause it pllugs right in but which wire do we not use

yep just search for obd2a to obd2b dizzy plug converting

what wire should i leave hanging from the harness when i switch out plugs?
