b16b ecu questions and hondata/tuning, more info inside, (help)
Hey guys. Well a month ago i posted my white hatch (beater/daily driver) with its fresh new b16a swap, well, needles to say MEH to the b16a engine and went back, gave it back and paid more for a b16b. The mighty destroked b18c5 engine.
Here is the situation, its obd2 so (engine is a 99) they had to get me a jumper from obd1 to obd2, anyways off top of hear dont know if its obd2 a or b but they gave me a jdm p73 (itr) ecu to use as they didnt have the proper ctr ecu to fit the jumper. Neither the jdm ctr or itr can be tuned using hondata So what ecu is really better for the ctr. the actuall ctr ecu or is the itr just as good with no downsides?
Also I have a p30 (odb1 ecu) doing nothing here. Should or can this run the engine if plugged in then i can actually get it tuned with hondata vs going with a vafc with the obd2 ones? When i say plugged in, take off jumper and pluger in to the original obd1 harness.
thanks!
