I have a 96-98 civic type r motor from hmotors, in my 96 dx hatch. The motor is running off my 96 sohc harness that I rewired according to Katman's EK wiring information did everything under obd2a with the exception of the "e." the CKF mod (due to it being a jdm motor, correct me if im worng, running on a jdm ecu it wouldnt need this done). I had to replace 3 of the injector plugs on the harness aswell due to them being damaged, and extended the primary o2 senor on the harness also. With all this done the car turns on with NO CEL. It drives smoothly and has good pick up for a little 1.6L but when it hits 6000rpms and vtec engages it has no power increase... pretty much feels like a loss of power, but it revs all the way to 9000. Sometimes it feels like if has more power and it has a smoother power band, but will also somtimes kind get little bursts of power or vise versa loosing power. YET IT HAS NEVER EVEN FELT NEARLY ANYTHING LIKE MY B16A in my other hatch. I drive my brothers 2000 prelude and when vtec kicks you feel the extra push back in your seat the extra power and such. In my car its the oposite you feel no puch back when vtec engages.

Does any one have any suggestions or idea what it could be?

ive replaced cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter

Im about to just buy a new computer with hondata or buy hondata for mine. and possibly replace the fuel pump... anyones imput will help
