B16A5 cylinder head gasket
Hi i have a honda eg civic that i just bought with a crack in the head or head gasket problem and yes im not happy.. its at honda hasn't been pulled yet will start today was waiting on a reply from a few places i thought it was only a b16a2 but honda has told me its a b16a5.. Now doing research hard to get parts and honda Australia cant get one and the gasket on a b16a2 will not fit Honda is telling me.. dose anyone know if this is tru honda is saying the coolant passages holes are different has anyone had this problem befor or know were i can get one or dose the b16a2-3 fit fine and its the same some people have told me no different with the b series be fine thanks

I can't say for sure as I've never seen a B16A5, which I believe is from an automatic 96-00 EK4 SIR-II. That said, I would order the B16A2 gasket (12251-P30-014) and pull your head to compare. Sounds like you need to pull the head anyway. The automatic B16As were, indeed, slightly different but I don't think it was due to block and head the casting.

this is the head gasket 1st dose it look any different to b16a2 .... been told it is dose look like it has more holes around the bore holes.. also can some one give me a part no. For this gasket has a no.On side p3027301 don't know if this would help pic attached let me know if it has not worked thanks
