b16a3 in ek wiring
well the only thing left to do to get my b16a3 swapped ej8 is to wire it up, unfortunately i couldn't find any wiring diagrams for my specific swap (maybe i didn't look hard enough?) but my ej8 also got converted to a 5 speed in the process.
if anyone has any info on the wiring for a b16a3 into a 99 ej8 that would be really appreciated.
thanks.

That may not work out too well. YOu have a 99 civic which is an OBD2b car, and all 1995 and below civics are OBD1. Thats a compatibility issues between motor, wiring and ECU's. Your best bet is to use any 99-00 civic SI wiring harness and ECU, and youd basically be set.

ok ill take your word for that one, but the d16y8 was an AUTOMATIC and since the wiring harness was from an automatic, it will still work right?
cuz i know theres the automatic shift sensor kinda thing inside the car and i corrected that so it should be able to start...just my cluster will read that it is always in park

well what we did was cut the white plug with the yellow wires under the automatic shifter and spliced the 2 yellow wires together so my cluster reads that my car is always in park.
we also removed that little silver piston thing on the white plug so i can take my key out of the car when i turn it off.
is there any other basic stuff that i skipped as for the auto - 5 speed conversion?

the reason you cant find any info is because it isnt needed. everything plugs back in the way it came out, if it doesnt seem to reach the right spot...it doesnt belong there.

well the dizzy, 4 injectors, and alternator plugs don't match up and since the engine is already in the engine bay, i dont want to take any chances (oh btw, NOT wiring up the engine before dropping it in was not my fault)

Re: (jasony0630)
you'll also have to wire it up for a 2wire IACV as wheres the automatic has a 3 wire IACV, depin a14 to a12 and depin a13 and leave it unpinned at the ecu plugs if your planning on using your y8 auto harness. use the injectors from your y8 so you wont have to rewire the injectors.

well i should be getting a 99 5-speed ex harness in the mail today
i know that i don't have to do the iacv mod, i can use my old injectors, i have to splice the dizzy plug and the alternator plug.
am i correct?
