did they say what color it is? it could be a couple things, but if you tell us what color it is, itll be easier to say..

Best to know what color the smoke is... As mentioned.
Dark black/brown when driving hard - in vtec? Then it's just vtec.
Blue - Oil
White - Coolent
Smoke on first fire, that in most cases would indicate poor valve seals, oils is being leaked in the the cylinders over night from the seals at a slow rate. This isn't much of a problem...

the car runs rich in vtec, so a small amount of black smoke is ok. if its alot of black smoke then you're running too rich. if its blue or white you have a totally different problem.

a mechanic can tell what the problem is by the smell.
i had the same thing with my b16a3,
turned out the sweet smell was a bad radiator.

Looking in your rear view and from a distance oil will look white not blue. It's more a of a blue hue but it's not easy to see.

Yes, colors are hard to tell. But smells are not.
It is pretty easy to smell the difference between fuel, oil, and coolant burning. Take a whiff to see what it is, but don't kill yourself with CO poisoning
