B16a2 w/ LS PR4 pistons, stock ECU, stock map sensor - problems?
Would I run into any problems running this lower compression piston in my engine? I had them in for turbo, but now I'm putting it back to stock. I don't want to spend the extra money to replace the pistons if it will run OK and PASS SMOG with this setup. I don't think the compression change is very much. Not sure if it's enough to make a difference.
Anyone insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

Yeah, I'm in no need of power at this moment. I just need it to run and drive around california legally.
Any other insights that might have a for sure answer? I need it to pass smog

I had an OBD I ecu with hondata - those don't go over too well in California

Re: (Sean @ ESG)
it will fail on smog. the lower compression is not efficient enough to burn off all the fuel in the combustion chamber. you will probably fail on HC
