B16A2 Vortec Project
I need some tips and information on a build-up I'm performing on a 99 Civic Si. I've ordered an LSD transmission from http://www.gear-speed.com so that's done. The engine I have has 110K and I'm looking for a strong rebuild kit that will go well with the Vortec Supercharger (P/N 4HC218-010SQ).
Any recommendations on the B16A2 rebuild?
Should I lower the compression?
Will it benefit horsepower to reprogram the ECU?

Vortec superchargers don't produce dick for power on Hondas, especially 1.6L ones. You'll spend a lot of money and be supremely disappointed. Get a turbocharger and go in that direction. With a good tune you can lay down 250whp and 180wtq without breaking a sweat or the bank and definately without changing any engine internals.
I'm not sure if this is a project you've researched a lot, but I would highly suggest doing some more on this website - especially as it concerns the Vortec unit and low displacement - because I'd hate for you to fall out of love with Hondas because of a bad combination of power adders .
