B16a2 - Valve Cover Breather Hose Question
I've been told before when my b16a2 was in a em1, completely stock. It had a hose that lead from breather hose to the little hole thats between the 3 & 4. I'm wondering if anyone knows the part number for that house and the fitting that fits in that hole? Or am I wrong that hose is suppose to lead there? Lmk! Thanks!

Correction it was between the 2-3 cyl. Is that were the breather hose went orginally? If not what is that hole used for? always wondered. Is that a vac leak if not plugged?

So I'll need 8(1), 9(1), 13(2).
VC > 13 > 9 > 13 > 8 > Hole In picture....
You say behind the black box the block? You mean the oil cooler?
I'm lost. I thought it just went to the hole in the picture.
Do I need more parts then I think I do? If so what else?
Sorry for so many questions and your assistance if its any trouble!
Thanks!

Re: B16a2 - Valve Cover Breather House Question
I've never learned how to look at those diagrams. I know they may be simple to you. But I've never learned. BUT..I'm slowly Learning. When I take my Intake mani off I'm going to have to look back there on whats missing. Thx for the help so far!

that hole in ur manifold goes to the PVC... you would need 6,4, and 3 if the nipple still is not in the black box...you will need 7 too if u don't have any hose to connect... you can buy ur own hose to replace 7 and 4 instead of buying stearlership prebent hoses. and buy a pvc(6) from a auto parts store u don't have to go to a dealer.

Re: B16a2 - Valve Cover Breather House Question
13(2) - Can get my own clamp
9(1) - Get PVC tubing from Autoshop store
8(1) order because it has a special fitting that will fit perfectly in the hole in previous pic?
2(1) - I have to check if thats in there still, if not order
3(1) - I doubt that nipple is still in there. Will check, if not ordering.
4(1) - It wont kink up if i buy my own pvc?
6(1) - ordering
7(1) - You think I should order? because a strait one migth kink up?
12(3) - Get my own clamps from autoshop store
7 - Leads up to that vac line in front of the Intake mani? The L shaped one?
What size PVC do you think I'll need? All those ones in the diagram same size you think?
3 Vac places on the manifold arn't being used.(all 3 blocked off with rubber caps)
Back bottom back right area(If standing in front of car leaning foward feeling behind manifold). Thats where the Cruise Control vac line goes right?
The one on the very top of the many(closest to Map Sensor). Not sure what thats for? anyone know?
I always wondered what that front L shaped vac line was for(Between vc and Intake mani). Its blocked off with a rubber cap right now. For the oil cooler line like i asked #7 in that diagram lead to?
Hope all that^ helps! Lmk if I'm missing something!

Re: B16a2 - Valve Cover Breather House Question
Not PVC, that's a type of plastic tubing.
PCV valve, it stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve. It's a valve that lets pressure out from the crank case back into the intake manifold.
What the one poster was talking about was getting your own oil resistant rubber hoses instead of buying them from the dealer.
On the top in the hole in your picture goes the PCV Valve. Connected to the PCV Valve is a rubber hose that goes to your intake manifold. Under that hole in your pic is a hose that runs to a black box that is on the back of your engine block. It's called a breather box and it's usually a little up and to the right of your oil filter.
Hopefully that is a little more clear for you and you find it helpful.

Re: B16a2 - Valve Cover Breather Hose Question
Black box> #2(Rubber fitting goes into black box) > #3(2 sided fitting) > #12(clamp) > #4 Goes under Intake(Oil resistant Hose, Prob order since it has special end) > #6(goes in that hole in my pic) > #12(clamp) > #7(oil Resistant hose, Probably order??) > #12(clamp) > Intake Vac line(L Shaped one, get oil resistant hose)
Correct? where does that other side of the black box hook up to? I'm on my lunch break now and its almost over with so I'll update and try to detirmin later!
