Default B16A2 Throttle body on D16Y8

I have someone locally thats parting out his b16A2. Sadly its only the motor. And I already bought parts for my Y8. So I was wondering if it would be a good move to buy the 60mm TB. Its cheap and 5 minutes away. Need some info on this. Thanks.

Im pretty sure sure the B16/B18 OEM throttle body will fit onto a D series without issue. They look exactly the same.

Answered my own question after looking through the interchangeable parts list in the FAQ. If a mod could delete this thread.

Just a heads up, a b16 throttle body is the same 60mm part found on any b series engine, except the type R which is 2mm bigger

Yep, thanks for the heads up. Guy is selling a b16 TB and its 60mm. Pretty cheap compared to browsing junkyard prices. Plus I live 5 minutes away.

I do believe the y8 manifold is 56mm. Same size as the factory throttle body. Moving to a larger TB requires portmatching to accommodate the larger TB from what I've heard.
