B16a2 tech
hi my name is juntao. i'm from belgium, so excuse my english
i have two questions about the B16a2
-what's the weight of this engine (approximatly)
and
-what's the better solution to pull engine out of car (it's a crx del-sol) : up or down

idk the weight but to pull the engine you could go either way, up and out if you have an engine hoist.. or if not put a pallet under there and lift the car over it.

Depends on the accessories you wish to add to the total weight, but for a ballpark figure...
D series motors are approximately 225 lbs
B series motors are approximately 250 lbs
Trannys add approximately another 120 lbs
I *think* engine suppliers figure 500-550 lbs for a crate motor (including tranny, alternator, starter, etc) - so that would probably be a good upper limit.
And, I would pull it from the top - but that's just me. I own a fold-up 'cherry picker'.
I'm doing this off the top of my head, so don't hold me to it...
