Default b16a2 on stock p28 o2 code?

i know im running the wrong maps on the ecu right now, but will this cause me to get an 02 code? i know the sensor is good and i checked the wiring all the back to the ecu, i get the cel 1 second after i start the car. is it because of the wrong maps? so it should go away once i get the ecu chipped with b16a2 maps?

thanks

No, having wrong maps won't cause an O2 code. Either the sensor is bad, the wiring, or the ECU.

hmm...i hope its not the ecu, cuz the sensor was fine on my other motor and the wiring checks out. maybe the o2 got damaged somehow when i swapped motors. ill get a new one (its under warrenty) and see if the code goes away.

also i extended the o2 wires and the signal wire seemed to have some shielding on it, i didnt use a shielded wire when i extended it, is that gonna cause issues?

How much did you extend them? I don't think it's a good idea to extend them by much as that will cause incorrect readings. Also, you should get a shielded wire as that will affect readings as well (due to interference if it's not shielded).

about a foot, i am using a z6 harness, that had the o2 in the front of the motor, on a b16 that has the o2 in the rear of the downpipe.

also i noticed that honda only shielded the wire on the engine harness, when it goes through the shock tower plugs its no shielded anymore. thats why i figured it wouldnt make that big of a differance.

the guy i got the motor from had it extended like 3 feet (from the front, over the trans and to the back) with extension cord wire and duct tape. i opened the harness up and soldered/heatshrinked brand new wire on there and reloomed everything. my way has to better right?
