Default b16a2 or ls/v

ok, so i have a little situation here, i have a 00 ebp si, BUT i want alil more power and trq...i have a spare b18b, with a gsr head, pistons, rods, and crank...i can either build this completely, and throw it in my em, or just do a mild build on the b16 (higher comp pistons, valves, and cams...) this is my dd, and i want to keep this reliable and original, reliable more though, as cause im always traveling...i just want some inputs of what ya'll think i should do...pros and cons are much appreciated...
thanks

well, you can't just throw a girdle on an ls motor without align honing. so it won't just be a matter of assembling.
