b16a2 limp mode
i have a eg 4 door with a semi built b16 form an 00 si and 01 itr transmission i built it a year ago sold to a friend and then bought the car he had swapped it into i seen the wire job looked like a crack head had way to much fun and time on his hands after i got it retuned and dyno i bought a whole chasie harness and replaced it along with a new motor harness just because like i said he did a **** job and i want it clean and right. i got it all it starts up drives down the road like a bat out of hell. got home parked the car for 5 mins went to the store and it goes into limp mode my speedo wont work now also can someone please help ive checked all my fuses and grounds everything on the car is brand new

Your air filter not being on isn't going to cause you to throw an IAT sensor code. Check your wiring and make sure it's plugged in properly. Also, pull all of your codes - an IAT sensor code wouldn't put your car into limp mode, but you should be throwing a related CEL.

thats the only code it throws before i replaced the harness the car was in limp mode and was only throwing a fuel injector code but when i redid everything i replaced the bad injector and thanks in advance for all the help ive been playing with these cars for a few years and im finally pretty stumped

May not do anything but try re-setting the ecu ? don't know what could make it go into limp just like that do you still have the obd2 ecu try with that and see if it goes into limp/throws new codes. worth a shot imo

i have a p30 chipped and tuned for the car. so your saying try just a stock p30 and see if it goes into limp mode meaning maybe the ecu is fried like rice
