Default b16a2 into a 1998 civic ex

Hi Honda Tech,

I bought a complete 1999 em1 that was hit in the back and it was not drivable, because of the rear quarter panel was toast. I am going to do a stock swap. I want to swap the b16a2 into my 1998 civic ex.

Should there be any concerns I should look for. I think I have the basic knowledge of the swap down, but not sure about if the harness will plug and play.

I have read and also looked in the helms manual the ckf sensor/plug is a 3 wire on the my 1998 civic and the 1999 em1 has a 2 wire sensor/plug.

Is there any other electrical or mechanical concerns?

I was also told I need to buy a obd2a to obd2b wire harness jumper to the ecu. Is that correct?

I have the whole front end and it is all stock. So any info on what I need to transfer besides the Engine,Tranny,Engine harness,ECU Axles, Air box.
Reason I want to do the stock transplant at first is to get it bard in cali. After that I want to do upgrades. This is my first swap and hope this can go very smoothly. Please educate me on any other things.

Thanks you!

Did you check the FAQs? A few swap links to be found there.

If you bought a complete wreck you should have everything. I'm currently doing the same thing. 99em1 to 00 ej8. The em1 is a wreck, passenger side crash. But car still runs so verything is transferable to ej8 body. Engine, trans, axles, wiring, ECU , suspension, brakes, interior, etc.
