B16a2 head porting...
Here is some pics of me B16 head I just had ported ....It was all done by hand so it took awhile, but WELL worth the wait. These pics didnt come out as nice as i would like but I will post some more later

You don't want a rough intake port. Fuel injected engines need faster air than anything else and thats why polishing is better. Only carberated motors need rough ports because the fuel gets dumped in by the carb.

I know that the runners on carberated manifolds are designed to be rough so they will create turbulence for fuel atomization. EFI manifolds have smooth runners so the air flows with out turbulence.
Ok, enough said about runners. lets talk about the venturi effect. Like Spoon's Venturi plate.Is it restrictive or does it acutally create more power? Do the ports really need to be knife edged or does it create a venturi effect by them selves?
What do you guys think.
