Hi there guys, im new on here and also new to hondas as welll, so please be nice lol!
A small story as to what im doing, i have a classic mini mayfair, and im droping a b16a2 in to her!
I have recently taken delivery of my engine and box, but after striping her down for a good clean, i notice on the underside of the gear box this:
It looks like there sould be a caping over tis area apart of the casing, as ther are marks showing its broken off! Can i ahve ur veiws and how to sort it or even do i need to will it cause any problems! personally i thought it mite lead to oil leaks, but im unsure?

Steve

Re: B16a2 Gearbox - possible problem? (Pieman)
if i am looking at it correctly, thats the end of the shaft the reverse idler runs on. i wouldnt fix it, first take it up with the supplier, and see if anything can be done on his end. worst case scenerio, it needs a case half. they arent to bad to do. get a helms and have at it. i did my first one by myself, and ut has gotten easier as time has gone on.
