Default b16a2 ECU?

I was reading around, and came across a B16a2 ecu for a good price. I have a d16y8 and i wanted to know if i could use the b16 ecu on the d16 motor. Someone told me that it would work, but i want your guys imput.

it would work, but dont think that the b16 ecu will give you any improvments. might lose a bit of power, your better off with the right ecu
