i beleive they are the same, the difference between the b16a and b16b is the head mostly aka, cams, size of ports, et cetera

Re: B16A2 and B16B (moreno)
they both have the same stroke, but the crank shafts are most certainly not the same.

Re: B16A2 and B16B (Slimasov)
Both cams vary significantly, specially in the intake side. According to Spoon's race engineers, the valve springs need not be swapped out for the Type-R dual springs if (and only if) the rev-limiter is not raised above that of stock. But it would be rather stupid to put CTR cams and not raise the rev limiter, impeding their optimum engine speed range to be reached.

Re: B16A2 and B16B (Slimasov)
Consider upgradign your valvesprings and retainers if you plan of revving over 8200.
It's a good idea to upgrade the valvesprings w/ these cams anyway.
Cheers to Moscow (vodka, of course )

are we talking about CRANKshafts or CAMshafts?
for the CRANKshaft I say no (although not sure - bad headache, can't be bothered to search and verify)
for the CAMshaft it's a definite YES

did a search, R/S is totally different between B16B (about 1.84:1) and B16A (1.74:1) and the stroke of the two cranks is the SAME (77.4mm) but the crank of the B16B is heavier and differently balanced. If that helps any.
