wtf how come my vtec is kicking in at around 5900-6200rpm?

jdm b16a/ jdm p30 ecu

help plz

how is your oil level?

correct oil pressure is needed for vtec to engage properly, i guess if it was low, the pressure would be lower, thus causing it to engage later (when the pressure reaches the correct amount)

but thats just a guess

Jdm P30 should be kicking in at 5800. This combined with a little error in the tach is very plausible.
