Default B16A Turbo Tuning Q's

OK all you gurus out there here's my dillema...

I've got a b16a with ctr pistons and cams with a littlw bit of work here and there. And, I've got a turbo kit! The kit has never been on the car though. I bought the car from a friend for pretty cheap and I'm not looking to put a lot of money in it to get it running again.

I havn't done the whole B series thing in 2 years or so so I'm a little rusty, but here is my question...

What is the route to go ECU wise? Keep in mind I only want to run 8-10 psi.

Whether it's Stand Alone $$$? Hondata, etc? FMU/Missing Link? And if I remember right isn't there a honda ecu that will read a certain amount of boost?

Also I've seen these MAP sensor plugin things that are made by BLOX and some other companies, are these a joke or are they legit?

ANY info would be appreciated for my budget turbo...!

How high is your ctr piston if it higher then 11. somthing compression then boosting the motor is not reliable if you are planning to go more then 7 psi. But with a EMS and good tuning you might able to go more.

assuming everything is basic stock with just ctr pistons then it will be 10.801068956759683:1. Based on C-speedracing.com calculater.

Yup, if you have a soldering iron you can get the chipkit & datalogging **** for $50.

Then you can run Crome or Uberdata.

Chipset:
http://www.moates.net/honda1-h....html

Datalogging:
http://www.moates.net/hulog-ho....html

Chip Burner:
http://www.moates.net/burn1-fl....html

(Almost forgot the chip burner). It's $15 for the chipset, $35 for the datalogging, & $85 for the burner, so $135 to chip/tune/datalog on your car if you can do it all yourself.

Honestly I would reccomend doing it yourself. I chipped mine with no real experience other than taking some old circuit boards and de-soldering & soldering wires onto them.

Definately get a 15w soldering iron & a "solder sucker" from radio shack if you're new to soldering.

Cool, thanks for the insight! Keep it coming though I'd like to get as many opinions as possible.
