B16a swap questions
Hello
I have a 2000 civic with originally a us motor b16. Replacing the engine bc it's cheaper route than going through machine shop. B16a jdm motor is installed and I have swapped over sensors and distributor already to get my engine harness to plug. Except the crank sensor. I've read about bypassing the sensor just a few wires. Although I came across a ECU its the p2t-j91, obd 2a for free. My question is is can I just plug the ecu without a problem and not modify the harness? And have no issues? Or do I have to do crank sensor bypass?
Thank you

Re: B16a swap questions
If you use a JDM ECU you'll be fine but it won't connect with a scanner or pass scanner emissions testing. You'll also need an OBD2B to OBD2A adapter to run it. If it's USDM you'll have to bypass.
