I've seen 10k, but I'm not sure if it was on a stock bottom end... But with a stock bottom end would you be making power up to that point? You can make any engine rev up real high, but making power up to your redline is the trick. Is your engine a B16A or B16A3? not that it maters, but the Japs got like 10 or so more hp than us Americans

You should be able to get as high as you want with the stock block, as long as you don't skimp out on the head/valve train ... that's what's really important for high revs.

you stress the rods bad with 10K rpm pulls, watched a stock bottom end b16 blow when he over revved to 10500, KABOOM wasnt pretty

I had a 1st gen b16a in a crx with a fully ported and built JG Pro Series head. With some custom JG Cams I was able to rev to 10k rpm. This was on the stock block. I misshifted a few times and saw 10.5kRPM on the my auto meter recall.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the stock bottom end will go as high as you want it too. I personaly would not skimp out on rods, rod bolts, and bearings when going above 10k.

Whats the point? Its like shooting yourself in the foot? No point. Without modifications, b16's will not make power past 8500 rpm's max. Anything over that is just inviting trouble and completely unecessary!

Yeah, what's your point? Did I say it produced power up to 10K? Nope.
I was letting the member know the stock block can reach 10K... That's all...
If I wanted to prove it made power I would track down a dyno for you, but for this case I can somewhat (mostly) agree, without modifications it's pointless...
