B16A power problems

Default B16A power problems

I have a B16A as well with CTR cams and ferdenza cam gears plus magnaflow exhaust (no cat) and mine makes 140whp and best 1/4 run is 15.6 on street tires so if you find out what your problem is let me know and visversa.

The problem is, it is a b16. I had the same problem until I admitted it to myself and began the search for a 1.8L.

Check you compression. If it's low, then that's the power that this engine produced. Some people got good engine and some don't.

You don't have any power problems. Are the cams and cam gears dialed in right?? Even if they are it seems like fair power to the wheels.

You have to understand that whether you have the JDM motor(170 hp) or the USDM motor(160 hp) these readings are to the flywheel not the wheels. You have to take off at least 20% in drivetrain loss.

don't know, never ran the damn thing because the fuel setup was fcuked up. Once I fixed the fuel I had already bought my truck.
