Thanks.

If it sounds like too much then why not go search the marketplace and find out for yourself? Pretty simple if you ask me

A complete B16a2 head (Cams, IM and Dizzy) off a 99-00 EM1 Civic SI will go for 600 easy. I have seen plenty of B16/B18c heads go for that price. I have seen B16 heads w/o the dizzy and IM , but with a P&P go for 1k+

I could have sworn forums are intended to help people, but I guess not. (towards 95ProjectEJ1)

I asked a simple question and expect a simple response, not a smart *** one.

You all just misunderstood me. I meant that it is just a lot to pay for a head. Thats the going price so I suppose it is fair if thats what people are willing to pay. I just wouldnt want to spend that much.

Gtfo of here. What's smartass about his answer? Lazy idiots like you could try searching before making a stupid *** thread about something that's very easy to find out for yourself.

Sorry, but Boost_V is right. I don't know if you knew, but if you ask Honda how much a replacement head is, they'll tell you. In fact, as surprising as it is, anyone who is in the business of selling Honda parts will tell you how much they'll sell you a head for. The theory is that if you know how much you're paying then you're 1,000,000,000X more likely to buy it. We here in this forum are not selling B16 heads, so where should you start? The problem with message boards is that they're 97% threads like this.

It was a simple response. I guess I expected too much when I figured your simple mind could process the information given.

Listen here mr. 2004 and still has yet to learn how to use the "search" function or find the most simple of all answers himself.

Chill out kid... you asked a question and got a real answer. Im sorry it was not the answer you were looking for.

Jeez, this is lame...I have a damn B16 head sitting in my garage and I need to get rid of it, I have no clue how much they go for and I thought I ask here and get a rough idea how much its worth. But clearly some people have a problem with questions like mine.

Then my apologies... I read the above post and felt that your comment was directed towards me.

How complete is the head? Cams, IM, Dizzy, Valvetrain, EM maybe?

^^^ in all honesty 95project, i'm pretty sure your first response was pretty accurate.

OP: what's the condition of your B16 head? Any pics?

EDIT: i just checked craigslist really fast...the prices varied a lot. I gues it depends on how complete it is.

if was in good shape with intake manifold, dizzy, CAM CAPS!, cams, valve cover, complete valve train. i wouldn't have a problem paying 600-650 for it. most the time it's just the head, valve assy, cam caps, valve cover, cams (p30 or p72) or something along those lines. in those cases around 450 give/take.
