B16A Gen2 torque
I have a 93 civic ex coupe. Im planning on doing the B16A gen2 swap. What mods can i do to get more bottom end torque? I've been told that there arent very many at all. Also should I spray it, put the turbo to it, or slap on a supercharger, or just go all motor. I appreciate any help I can get.

its a hack job if its not done right... dont listen to a 15 day old noob about what honda work is considered a "hack job" When you start to research both setups you will learn the things that need to be done for reliability and to maximize potential.
For example:
Different compression ratios of Head/block combos
Bearings that need to be replaced for safe redline
Tuning plays a large roll
supporting mods such as chambered/straight through exhaust play a small roll in torque/powerband

i hate ls / cr vtec, i think its a hack job</TD></TR></TABLE>
hahaha, a hack job. whats so hack job about it? its been tried and done. If you read last month and this months issue of HondaTuning, you would think twice about that hack job called ls/vtec.

Re: B16A Gen2 torque (93HboostedCivic)
Tuning a B16 for bottom-end torque is like tuning a Hummer for a road course. You'll defeat the purpose for which it was intended and you'll still end up being unsatisfied. Just start out with something different or learn to like high rpms.

More that that, It's a sad but true fact, you won't make a lot of tq from a B16 no matter how you look at it. You will spend double the money to make the same Tq as a basic well put together LS bottom end with a B16 head. I know of quite a few ocal LS/VTEC engines that have been DD'd for quite a while making nice power and are still running strong.
I love the high revving B16, hell I own two of them but if you want a lot of tq, build something else.
