b16a distributor? Need help
I have swapped a b16a obd1 motor in my obd2a ek and i am using a p30 ecu. Now i purchased a new distributor from a 99-00 si to replace the one the came with the motor because the plugs did not match my ex harness. After we put the new distributor in we tried to start the car for the first time and there was no spark, we tested the wires and distributor with a spark tester and got no sign of spark wut soever. Distributor is new, everthing is hooked up to where its supposed to be, and the timing is correct. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions or past similar problem wit this help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: (sihatch19)
i beive all b16 dizzys have a groove on the distrubutor tooth that prevents it from going in 180 backwards, besides, wouldnt he have spark even if it were 180 backwards? it just wouldnt start, and it would backfire like crazy.

well if youve done 20 swaps, youve definiltly done more than me. so ill take your word for it. but i still dont see why he wouldnt be getting spark if it were 180 backwards

try changing th ignition coil its really hard to install the dizzy incorrectly being that it wont sit in there correctly and youll have a leak evrytime you spin over the motor
