b16a bearing installation?
I'm trying to install some new bearings and i was wondering if the surface upon where i am placeing the bearings on, is that area surpose to be clean or can am i surpose oil that area up? The area i'm talking about the between the bearing and the block, not the bearings and the crank.

Re: (lightcrx)
rod/main bearings? if so.. then yea, no oil should be between the surface and the bearing, but on top of the bearings use some grease.. like dab some on and spread w/ your finger ect. did you plasti-gage those? you don't want rod-knock when you get it all back together.
Edit: nevermind i read quick.. these are main bearings.. same thing though, no oil inbetween the block/bearing, grease those thrust washers up though..
