B18C5 is the best possible choice for any types of driving, hands down. Boost that sucker

Newb, you should try the search button. Also pick up some magazines, and do some internet research on the different B series motors available. B16 (SI) B18C1 (GSR) and B18C5 (ITR). I personally would go with the B18C5 hands down. You also need to know what direction your mods would take in the future; "all motor", boost, etc. Also, what you can afford. The 18C5 is most expensive, but well worth it IMO. Good luck Noob..

I personally wouldn't boost a B18C5 motor, just my opinion. I think a GSR or LS motor would be a better choice..

i deno....i would boost a c5...just get new rods and lower compression pistons...and you have a good turbo set-up just dont boost over 7 PSI

and theres nothing wrong with high compression boost. just tune it right so it wont detonate or misfire or knock or whatever...and you have a good response high revving high horsepower engine...thats just IMO

why would you not boost a C5 if you had the money!?

talk about throttle response!! I know people that have run 7 pounds for 2 years on a C5 with NO problems! And it rips!! C1 CR is 10.2, and C5 is only .6 higher!. Also with the tranny!! You rip through the gears!! I saw a guy put down 320 whp on 10 psi with a C5...now that's impressive.

Jdm ITR swap is what I am going to get, its powerful enough for me to be happy auto-x without wanting to do any internal work on it.

But then again I am not you so good luck.
