IS A B16A TO A B18C-ITR SWAP WORTH THE WHILE IN EG6???????????
Hi I am just about to swap over engines.
I have a jdm civic eg6 with a b16a engine in it.
I have a 97 b18c itr engine which I am going to put in.
My question is :
Is it worth the hassle, will I be able to notice a big difference and How fast will it be compared to my b16a?
Thanks guys

of coarse it will make a difference. a majoe difference. the b18c5 200hp vs. the b16A with 170hp. not only that, there will be a difference in tuning too.

My motor went 13.9 at 98 in a 2000Si. At that time it was only putting down 181whp and 126tq. I havent had it at the track yet in the EG, and now the motors putting down 195whp and 131tq.
B16's dont even compare, been there, done that.

True, and not only that, you have to remember when going from 1.6L to 1.8L it's a lot more "torquier" per-se. So it'll feel even stronger than a B16 pushing out 200hp (if that makes any sense).
Tq. wins races, not HP .
You will definitely notice a difference, I say, if you got the money, go for it.
