Default b16a and b16a2 difference?

I have a 99 SI and blew a hole through one of the sleeves. I was wondering if i can use a b16a bare block to replace my b16a2. Can the b16a block convert to ODB2? Are all the sensors and components swappable from the b16a2 to the b16a? Are there enough fittings for all the sensors on the b16a? I want to keep the ODB2 on my car. I want to swap pistons also to keep the b16a2 compression. Is there something else I need to know before doing this swap? If it isn't possible to keep ODB2 then I will just buy the b16a2.

b16 bottoms are the same, the obd0,1,2 are mainly wires for ecu and not ur block.

I don't think the odb0 and odb1 have knock sensors. would there be a fitting on the back of the block for the knock sensor like the b16a2 has?

b16a and b16a2 are identical I believe. Put a b16a block in my brother's EM1 with no problem.

no differance. if you choose to reuse your a2 pistons youll need to hone the block and replace the rings. since the b16a is older (higher milage) there may be enough wear in the cylinders that you wont be able to reuse your pistons after the hone job.
