sounds like either a bad TPS or IACV

Its the fast idle thermo valve, its located on the underside of your throttle body. Do a search on this valve and you'll find out how to fix it!

check for any vacuum leaks too. I had a bolt fall out of my idle motor and caused a bad idle once.

You can check to see if the thermo valve is out of wack by taking off your intake and looking at the two holes in the throttle body. The top one is for the IACV and the bottom one is the FITV. Try covering up the bottom hole with your finger after the car gets warm and see if your idle comes back down to normal. My money is on this....

Air in the coolant could definetly cause a bad idle, this happened to me on my B16. I bled the coolant sytem and reset the ecu and it went away. I would also make sure that your TPS is calibrated, and your IACV to make sure it's not dirty or clogged. But I would start by bleeding the coolant system for air. Hope this helps.

you know everyone keeps posting IACV or TPS. when these go bad they usually throw a CEL.

i'm going to take a shot in the dark here, but i think he needs to replace his pcv valve. when they are clogged, this will cause idling problems like the op is experiencing.
