b16a in 00' 4 door civic wouldnt start!
Hey, whats up guys?!
here's the story, I finally got my car back from paint shop, so I was doing the swap with my friend. B16A in my civic. It wouldnt start, it was funny because the plugs wasnt hook to ecu, what an idiot!!! lol. so I plugged it. it wouldnt start up. Not even if it want to start, like if the battery is died, but the battery r GOOD. All of sudden, try again my friend heard something like if fuse blew up... everything was GONE!!! no power!!! nothing... no light. I tried to just turn on, no light NOTHING everything went dead! what COULD it be?! my friend checked all fuses it look good. what the hell!!! Do you have any IDEA what it could be? main relay? HELP!!! it has been a week that i did search and couldnt find HELP. I hope you guys could HELP ME!!!

check your battery again. Should be around 12v.
did you leave the key in the run position in the ignition when you plugged in the ECU?
when exactly did you hear this "blowing up" sound? while the engine was cranking, or what?

No, it was not in run position. i had battery disconnect before i plug ecu in. then try it again, there was no crank nothing. everything was just gone. my friend overheard like if there was wire touch other wire like if it shouldn't. but i looked everywhere to see if there's burn wires, but there was NOTHING?

Yeah, just pop your hood and look at the fuses in there. Any gap means the fuse is blown.
When I say a fuse saved your stuff, I mean the fuse hopefully served its purpose by preventing your electronic components from getting fried.

when I say circuit, I'm referring to the electrical circuit created by your battery and alternator. Electric current must have a beginning (+) and an end (-). If the electricity cannot travel from positive (+) to negative (-), then the components that draw current off that circuit will not get any power. that's why nothing works when you disconnect the negative cable from your battery.

If that's the case... how do I fix the ciruit? Like I said, I checked the fuses and my friend did too, but there's nothing that look bad? (Should I disconncet postive too and see from there?) Thanks for ur help. I will be back later with more news.

Like I said, just check your grounds. If you did the swap, you should know where the grounds are.
Some of the main ones are:
Wire harness to engine block (thermostat)
Head to chassis
tranny to chassis
negative battery terminal to chassis

Make sure you didnt have the battery backwards (meaning that you didnt have the (+) terminal hooked up the chassis ground (-))
