Default B16 wont start.

i put my b16 in my ek hatch and i got it all hooked up it wont start.
it cranks but wont start.
it primes, it has fuel pressure but it doesnt squirt outta the injectors until i crank it i coulda swore in my eg it would come out as it was priming.
i think the grounds are good. thermostat grounds good, tranny to body grounds good, battery grounds good.
it has spark i had my friend touch a plug it sure shocked him hahah.
lemme know what people think please ill be working on it to try an figure it out myself but all helps greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

What plug shocked him and check firing order/plugs and wires, yes I know it's stupid but better off to check. Check inside the dizzy and make sure cap/rotor is good(make sure ignition coil is getting spark) The injectors wont spray out until you crank and car is running not when the key is in the ON position for priming(if this was the case every time you prime it would be flooding the engine with fuel) Recheck all wiring/fuses etc..

im going to tell you exactly what happens i need help.
i crank it and it cranks not so fast, and usually it stops after a few cranks
and when i crank it the battery ground smokes or gets extremely hot.
the tranny ground sparkes sometimes and it charred the metal where its grounded and its bare metal not paint.
it gets fuel and spark.
i adjusted the valves
the firing order is correct.
is it the alternator? is it the starter? the cranking is weak and i just bought a brand new battery.
is there a short in the harness somewhere?
could it be a fried ecu?
it seems to be in time im going to triple check that as soon as it stops raining.
the thermostat ground is on.
im dying here. im completely stumped, im going to put a test light on the ground to see if its getting a positive charge from somewhere somehow.
and just in case it matters there some wires on the light and raidiator part of the harness for like a/c etc... that some dude before cut maybe it matters just letting you know
if you have ever had this problem please let me know i need the help.
any questions ill be glad to answer thanks.

Never heard of this one before. That sound normal to you? Is the battery pretty old? Wired up correctly?

hello.. i got a b16a and it wont start... the engine was working fine and one morning just refused to start. I contacted my mechanic who told me it was an electrical problem. the electrician came and checked the coil but it was good and told me the ecu has to change. I went ahead and changed the ECU but the problem still remains, the car just wont start. it has a high fuel pressure and the injectors is getting power and air supply is good and the spark plugs has been changed and working fine. please, could anyone who can help me with this problem?

Take your question and start a new thread, but before you do that, search and research. This thread is three years old and you can see how members felt back then...

So many people have had this problem and started threads so the answer is probably already out there. Also, there are quite a few questions members will ask you to help diagnose your problem. If you can address those questions before posting you help everyone out and you might find the answer without ever needing to post.

What kind of car do you have? Did you swap the B16A in? Do you have any CELs? Etc.
