B16 vtec not pulling after installing resonator
i got built b16 and got 2 1/2 straight piping..it ran good and pulled good in vtec but it was too loud so i put resonator. it made it sound lot better an bottom end is the same but when i hit vtec it seems to not want to pull...will the resinator be the problem? if not what might be?
thanks

Re: vtec not pulling
Lessee. No resonator, VTEC "pulls". With resonator, VTEC does not "pull". I think you answered your own question. It's probably the restriction of the resonator doing it.

Re: vtec not pulling
last i checked the resonator is a straight through pipe. sooo im gonna say no.
the difference your butt dyno is feeling im guessing is that its not as loud. still just as fast.

Re: vtec not pulling
hahaha actully i installed a larger resonator and it fixed the problem, yes still the same sound...the other one was restricting too much air flow...

Re: B16 vtec not pulling after installing resonator
because of an open pipe? its straight through. unless you put a 2 in res on like 3 in piping i can't imagine the difference.
my b16 is loud as crap when vtec hits. but that might also be due to straight piping.
