Default B16 Valve Cover

Is there a certain order your suppose to tighten the valve cover? Also I notice when removing the v.c. there were some type of sealent on it... Should I put sealent also, and what kind of sealent when putting the new gasket on?

yea u will need to clean up the old sealant and apply some gasket sealant.i used the red sealant.and a new gasket and just dont over tighten the bolts otherwise u are going to damange the new gasket

After apllying the sealent how long do you let the car sit? Also is there an order on which screws need to be tighten first?

Cool! Thanks for the advice..... I only asked cause im spray painting the valve cover with Red Wrinkle spray paint... And it is coming along great. Almost identical to the kind you would normaly buy a cover thats already red....

cool.i am thinking of painting my valve cover too.what kind of paint do u buy and where do u get it ?are they heat resistant?thanks bro

heat resistant paint isn't necessary for our valve covers. They don't reach 500 degrees. Typical crinkle paint or enamel will work fine.
