i just bought a 2000 si b16 trans that was said to work perfectly to put on my jdm b18c because i had a ls trans. It goes through all the gears fine even at 8000+ rpms. no grinds or anything. i go to put it in reverse and it feels like something is not letting it go in. its not making a grinding nosie or anything. if i pull it down real hard with 2 hands (feels like im going to break my short shifter) and let off the clutch it will go in reverse for a second but i usually cant hold it in. any ideas of what this could be, im guessing a linkage in the tranny because i unhooked the linkage and tryed to manualy shift it and it still feels like its in a bind. any help would be appericated thanks

happened to me in a second gen b16a in my eg 10 years ago.

its a broken part not letting it/blocking it from getting into reverse, and it will not fix itself, transmission must be repaired or replaced.
