Icon3 boosted car bogging while accelerating!!!!

Here is the rundown of my issue. I have a fresh Turbo setup on my 99 Honda civic. Just a few days ago I had it tuned on a dyno and it ran great! Well, on my way home yesterday it started to bog down, kinda like it was flooding, my wife even told me that it threw some flames from the exhaust. I changed out the dizzy, thinking that it was something there but the problem remained after changing it. The car will start up and idle fine but when I press the gas and hold it to, for example 4k RPMs, the RPMs will slowly fall and the car will start to sound like it is missing. I have checked my chip, ECU connections, and all of my clips on my wiring. Here is the gist of my electrical setup: NKG plugs and wires, P28 shipped/tuned with CROME, 2.5 bar MAP. Thoughts?

This is killing me! i have a freshly built motor and i cant enjoy it!!! BAH!

i may be able to get a video later but it would be shitty...

I'm running NKG plugs and DSM 450cc's

I dont think it has anything to do with my parts. It was running fine before this and did just fine on the dyno.

Yea, trust me. Anyone who is boosted usually run into the same problems..Cars react differently on a dyno then street..

But since i dont know your build, we need to know what parts your using.

NGK what? are they at least 2 steps colder? Iridiums? Vpower?

Fuel pump, FPR and pressure?

Cars need spark, air and fuel.. so lets start seeing what u got.

these used injectors?

what pump?
using a FPR?

how were the injector Orings when u installed the 450's?

Im thinking if your running rich, you have a boost leak somewhere.

Re-check and tighten all your couplers. usually the rocking of the engine plays havoc on piping.

Have you upgraded mounts?

yea, used. I have been running them for about 3 years. I'm running a stock FPR and a Walbro 225 HP.

None of my issues are under load so it has noting to do with a boost leak if i have one. Pretty sure i dont though.

hmm.. interesting... car isnt running hot?

im going to lean towards the injectors..esp if youve been running them for 3 years.. those tend to take a **** after a while.

what fuel pressure you at?

ok, what do the plugs look like? I hope your using 93 octane or premium.. It could be bad gapping as well.

I would get NGK 4091's and the gap is set at 22 (to my memory) ... i would try that.

Edit: shooting flames could be from the fuel cut with a minor backfire.. nothing to worry about.

Just noticed something interesting....

yesterday, maybe even earlier today i started my car up and it was reading 39-40psi on the fuel and when i tapped the gas it held pretty solid. Well, just a sec ago, i started it up to move it into the garage and it was reading about 34psi and would fluctuate pretty good when i tapped the gas. The car idled for about 3-5 min and then died.

Thoughts?

BTW, what is the stock pressure? It is a stock FPR I'm running

why would you be running a y7 head they dont have many cam options but colt cams or delta and that head its the most restricted head ever made. why not go vtec and gain a few more hp and in boost will help out a lot more.

ur pump is going bad! Mine did this and ran my engine lean, i cracked my sleeve cuz i didnt replace a faulty brand new pump. I said to myself WTF its a new pump.. ended up costing me hundreds when all i had to do was swap in a walbro and use 20 minutes of my time.

Get a FPR and keep around 40-45 and youll be fine from here on out.

Edit: it was a cheap Xenocron pump (even tho i called about this and they told me they never had any problems with their pumps, figures.)

Also, stock pressure is around 28psi

Funny thing is, that its a brand new Walbro..... I can hear it pumping when i turn the key over but i guess its still a possibility.

If you don't already, get a wide band oxygen sensor and a gauge. If there's any chance of running lean, you want to know.

UPDATE:

Well, i got my ECU back today and nothing..... I will be changing out my OEM FPR to see if that fixes the issue. I honestly dont think it will because i have an AEM one laying around here and i slapped it on there Just to see that it would do and it was basically the same.

New Symptoms: When trying to start it up the fuel pressure gauge is only showing like 18psi (that is with the vac off the FPR). i pulled the plug wires and had my wife turn it over and it seems like it is not firing like it should (i was looking for a spark on a head bolt, figured it would be about every sec or so but there was nothing. It was inconsistent).

It does act like it wants to turn over at times but it is very brief.

What i have looked at up to this point:
-ECU
-wires on the OBD conversion harness
-Fuel pump (pulled it out and checked it out)
-Dizzy (i went and picked up a new one from the zone and when i put it on there it did the same thing, so i took it back)

The only thing i can thing to do (and its a long shot, dont rly thing it will make a difference) is to fill the fuel tank, its currently at a little less that 1/2 a tank.

Thoughts? this **** is driving me insane!

check the gap on your plugs... had a weird issue with that after my dyno tune last year... it drove fine after the tune and then like a day later my gap on the plugs was HUGE!

odd, but i'll check it. I'm open to anything at this point haha

What gap is recommended? I think we set them at like 40 to start with. I am running NKGs, 1 step colder.
